Associate Consultant

I’m an Associate Consultant at ECP Safeguarding, and I’m deeply committed to helping keep children and young people safe, supported and protected from harm.

I’m a qualified Social Worker with over 15 years’ experience working across children’s services, including statutory, independent and consultancy roles. Throughout my career, safeguarding and child protection have been at the heart of what I do, and I’ve worked closely with families and professionals to help create safe and sustainable outcomes for children, even in very complex circumstances.

I’ve spent many years in senior leadership roles, managing child protection, court and residential care services. I’ve led multidisciplinary teams, supported complex and high‑risk cases, and worked to improve services so that children’s safety, stability and long‑term wellbeing remain the priority. My practice is always child‑centred and informed by systemic thinking, with a strong focus on understanding the wider contexts that shape children’s lives.

Alongside my work with ECP Safeguarding, I’m also the Director of an independent social work consultancy. I carry out high‑quality assessments, including parenting and risk assessments, and provide expert witness evidence in care proceedings. My work often involves complex safeguarding concerns such as abuse, domestic violence, parental mental health, and supporting children with disabilities and additional needs.

I’m also an experienced trainer and supervisor, and I really enjoy supporting professionals and organisations to build confidence, strengthen safeguarding practice and feel clear about their responsibilities. I’m particularly passionate about making sure children and young people are listened to, and that their voices stay at the centre of every decision that affects them.
